 NEW POLICY  Payment & Estimates

 We accept Visa & Mastercard, Cash, & Checks.

On larger jobs we require half the initial estimate amount before we begin  work, & final payment upon completion & approval of work done.

We have varied on this a bit recently  for a few, still like 1/2 up front when theres a few thousand in parts involved, & can do smaller payments weekly from there towards end of job.

We are no longer going to give full estimates on large allover restoration jobs. In the past we would write estimate, & more or less stick to it.  We have thus far ended up eating it on majority of these jobs by the end.

We will now, offer you range of where you will likely be when done (example 20-28,000) . We may be able to give firm price on parts of the job, but the majority of job will be time clocked @ $65 an hour per laborer.

This will prevent things like our estimate saying " 6 hours to hang new doors & fenders" & in the end, we got poor fitting new parts, & it takes us 2 days to get them to fit correctly, & have to skim areas of them as well to get perfect gap, and in sticking with estimate, we lose a day & a half of on job,  we can no longer do it this way.

We still ask for a sizable deposit when job is taken in to cover immediate parts ordered, sandblasting if needed & first couple weeks of work being done. As work is done, & time clocked, it will be totaled weekly, & deducted from deposit, along with any parts or materials used/purchased. 

When deposit funds are used, weekly totals of work will be put on statement & emailed to customer, & payment will be made weekly. We will be happy to set up whatever means works for each person to make this an easy process to deal with. (Independent acct. set aside for your job, Credit Card number kept on file, payment in person of course welcome). We will not get into chasing people weekly to pay bill for any period of time.

Labor Rates 

Insurance & Collision Body & Paint Labor  $40.00 per Hour   

Restoration & Custom  Body & Paint Labor $65.00 per Hour

Mechanical Labor     $90.00 per Hour 

Fabrication work      $95.00 per Hour

Frame time               $65.00 per hour

Storage Rates 

Storage $40.00 per day

(Storage starts 4 days after car is ready

  if not paid for & picked up. )

Materials Rates 

Paint Materials $30.00 per Paint Hour

Cost ,        

   Larger jobs are not cheap. 

     A really nice paint job & a little straitening, you're in the $8000 plus range.

    A really nice paint job & 2 new 1/4's, with wheel houses, fenders, doors, maybe a hood, core support, some new  trim   when done, new bolts, etc, youre in the $25,000 plus range, more towards Plus

    If  you have a Mustang ( unibody example), & you need frame rails, torque boxes, floors etc....... you could be 5-10 thousand into it before you get to the outer body.

   Please be a realist.  If you car needs rust repaired, straitening on every panel, painted inside & out, & doesn't run, you are about to make a major investment. No, we cant work on it for 4-5 weeks for 5 grand, sorry. Please realize this if you are about to ask me to drive a ways to do an estimate.

 Sometimes its better to buy the $10,000 car that only needs a little work, instead of the  $2000 car just like it, that has a few bubbles & floors are gone, the $10,000 will be much cheaper in the long run.
